How RankNiti builds tests and content
Students and parents should know how questions are scoped, how scores are calculated, and what we do not claim. This page describes the current product — not a marketing slogan.
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. Who builds RankNiti
RankNiti is built in India by the team listed on the About page. We do not invent visiting faculty, unnamed “IITian panels,” or affiliations with NTA or the State CET Cell. Where a person is named, the role is the role they actually hold.
2. Syllabus mapping
- NEET practice is mapped to NCERT Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology as used for NEET UG.
- MHT-CET practice is mapped to Maharashtra State Board (Balbharati) chapters for PCM or PCB.
- Public chapter pages show weightage and question counts only when those figures exist in our catalog. Missing numbers are omitted rather than guessed.
3. How a mock test is supposed to work
- You choose an exam track (NEET, MHT-CET PCM, or MHT-CET PCB) so the paper matches the admission path.
- Full-length mocks are timed. Chapter tests are shorter and scoped to one topic.
- After submit you see results for that attempt. Premium solutions are not published on public SEO pages.
4. Honest scoring
Accuracy and related metrics use questions you actually attempted. Unattempted items are not counted as correct. Short chapter drills and full-length mocks are not blended into one vanity percentage. That rule exists so a dashboard cannot look strong while large parts of the paper were skipped.
5. Public pages vs the question bank
Syllabus, chapter guides, and mock-test landing pages are public so students can understand the product before signing up. Live question text, options, and paid solutions stay behind authentication and are blocked from search indexing. SEO pages must never dump the item bank.
6. Review and corrections
Educational pages are written and updated by the RankNiti team. If a student reports a wrong key or an outdated pattern note, we investigate and correct it. We do not back-date “last updated” without a real change. Official bulletins remain the source of truth when they disagree with our summary.
7. What we will not claim
- Guaranteed ranks, percentiles, or college seats.
- That RankNiti papers are official NTA or CET Cell papers.
- Credentials or reviewers that do not exist.
